The thread of gray
That wove itself
So skillfully into
My tapesty of hair
Came to light
In the bathroom mirror;
A revelation exposed
Long years too soon.
And suddenly,
All my words
So joyfully spilled
Upon others' similar plights
Became me-focused jokes -
Not so funny and
More bittersweet
Now that I could relate.
